Where Did Massage Begin?
Massage treatments have evolved through history. It is recorded that it was widely practiced in parts of India around 3000 BCE. Indians believed that the practice was a holy experience that cleansed and healed an individual.
It was also a form of pain relief. Many doctors used massage as a way of mending injuries and lowering intense pain. Hindus passed down this practice and today we have a wonderful form of massage that continues to encourage pain relief, stress relief, and improves health.
The original goal of massage was to rebalance the body and become one with our surroundings. Massage allowed us to reconnect with the world to find a better standing within it. Massage continues to encourage relief in many forms and has been for thousands of years.
